Connect Groups provide a casual atmosphere for Bible study, discussion, sharing of needs, prayer, encouragement, and like-minded fellowship.
The Connect Groups offer a variety of studies which will help you mature in
your Christian life. A listing of these Connect Groups can also be found on
the back of the weekly church bulletin, or pick up a "Get Connected"
booklet at the church information desk.
Women's Ministry has Bible study Connect Groups that you can attend. Please check the church bulletin and newsletter or the Women's Ministry page on this site for dates, times and locations.
Young Adults have several Connect Groups for ages 18-30.
Please check out their page on this site for dates, times and locations or contact Matt Zimmer at the church office for more information about this ministry and it's groups. There is also a bulletin board in the main hallway with info and some hand outs.

Men's Bible Study Breakfast - Pastor Thor Sorenson & Brent Chapman, Leaders
Meets Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at Perkins on London Road East.
Coffee/Breakfast for men with a hunger not only for breakfast, but God's Holy Word.
Men's Breakfast - Meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month @ 8:00 a.m. for a
"He-Man's" breakfast and devotional time. Meets in the church fellowship hall/gym.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) - Natalie Murray 218-720-2929 and Ali Holmgren
218-310-8883 leaders. Meets 2nd and 4th Thursday each month - 9:30-11:00 a.m. @HCC during the school year. The Mops format includes; food and fellowship, small group discussions, life skills and parenting training, teaching from a Biblical perspective and creative activities. We care about providing an inviting and accepting place where the goal is to meet the specific needs of preschool mothers.
Recycled Teens for adults age 50+ meets weekly on Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

This connect group enjoys great fellowship and conversation around a devotional time and folding the church bulletins together. Periodically they go out to lunch together, too. Call the church office for more info or just come any Friday morning.
Newsletter Team - is a group of adults who like to stay busy and work at your own pace. They meet once a month at the church to fold and label the church newsletter. Connect in this ministry and meet new friends and enjoy coffee and treats. Contact the church office or Judy Isadore with questions.
Family Connections - is a great connect group for families, couples and singles
with children to join for fun and fellowship. Please check their page on this site for

HOME CONNECT GROUP Bible Studies
Hermantown Community Church has several Home Connect Groups, which include Bible study and fellowship, that meet in homes in various parts of the city on different nights of the week. Please check the Connect Group flyer at the church for details of all groups currently meeting and find one that fits your schedule.

Not one that fits for you? If you can't find one that fits your needs, one of the pastors would love to talk to you about starting a new one.
This year we will focus on prayer. Most Connect Groups will do "The Prayer Dare" by Ron Kincaid. Everyone prays at some time or another. Why don't we pray more? Maybe because we don't realize how important prayer is, or we aren't quite sure how to pray, or because we don't experience answers to our prayers. The prayer dare dares you to learn why prayer is so important, how you can pray more effectively, and help you discover how you can see more of your prayers answered. Through this dare you will grow deeper in your relationship with God.
