Our Mission
We want to welcome you to the ministry of Hermantown Community Church. Our purpose for ministry can be best understood through the following verses of scripture: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry ofreconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: be reconciled to God.”(II Corinthians 5:17-20) Evangelism is the heartbeat of the reconciliation process. In all areas of our church it is foremost in our
mind that the main purpose for everything we do as a church is to reconcile people back to God. Discipleship is part of the reconciliation process. We want to concentrate our efforts in sharing the “good news” of Christ in our daily lives. We also need to train, nurture, and develop new Christians so they can do the same in others. I want to encourage you to consider the ministry opportunities that are available for you at Hermantown Community Church. Through these ministries you will be able to grow spiritually in your Christian life and be able to help others to be reconciled to God.
