WHAT WE BELIEVE

There is one God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, who has eternally existed in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

All people are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation.  We have been alienated from our relationship with God as a result of sinful disobedience.  We are unable to regain our right relationship with God through our own human efforts. 

The Church is the body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head.  Each of us who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ are the Church. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.

Jesus is the Son of God and is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit.  He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. 

It is God’s desire that all humanity receive the salvation that was provided for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  He offers salvation freely to all who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ.

Once we have placed our trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, baptism is how we publicly declare our new life in Christ.  Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.  It is also a step of obedience to God’s commands and allows to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptized to “fullfill all righteousness.”

The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and Jesus.  He is Counselor, Advocate, Comforter, Intercessor, and makes His home within every believer at the moment we place our faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible was written by human authors who were divinely guided by The Holy Spirit.  Because it is inspired by God, we believe it is truth without error and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

We were created to exist forever.  To be eternally separated from God is hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
